General meetings are held on the second Monday of each month at Papanui Baptist Church. If you want to get to know us, come along to a main (monthly) meeting.

Main Meeting

General meetings are held on the second Monday of each month at Papanui Baptist Church, 144 Sawyers Arms Rd. These monthly meetings are free to our members; if you’re attending as a visitor we ask for a $5 donation.

Meetings start at 9.45 am with tea or coffee and a chat with the formalities beginning at 10.15 am. Housekeeping and other general information start the meeting, followed by a guest speaker at approximately 10.30 am.

The first meeting of the year is in February with the last in November. The December ‘meeting’ is a Christmas lunch.

Small Group Meetings

Members of Christchurch North West u3a also meet in a large variety of small groups. These groups are developed to meet the interests and learning requests of the members. They take place at a variety of times during each month, with some groups meeting each week.

Annual General Meeting

The Annual General Meeting is held in November and, via a President’s Report and a Financial Report, is an opportunity to review the activities of the financial year, which runs from 1 November – 31 October. At the AGM we also elect new committee members as well as set our member subscription fee for the coming year.
